Who the hell, to marbled

I kept it. The blog. Though I didn't write anything, you can see for yourself, in two-ish years. That's because so much of figuring out "who the hell" I was, sped up, slurped me up and spit me out into a new mixture of life. Marbled.

Yup, I am black and he is white, my love that is. We started our #marbledlove this past March and now we are together, discovering ourselves. Hence the transformed name of this wonderful blog of mine, minus the long absence.

But the journey and exploration didn't end. Along the way I became a teacher. I won't get started on that. But it was the next step in honing in on my vocation, my work. And it's been exciting along with draining, but mostly I have gotten to explore my heart and uncover some passion. It's been divine.

And the big piece of this almost two year journey away, was colliding with my husband. Stepping into each others lives and choosing to say no to every other option except the life were we are together. Marbled in our love, our mess, our happy days and sad, and just growing each day into the people we will die as. Together. Me and Him.

So next for me/us, and why there's this blog reboot, is a 10 day trip we are setting before us this June. We want to see the place, the region, were our two races became divided in this North American country we live in. We are headed to the South. I invite you to join us. What's on the menu? Food, music, stories, race, reconciliation, and celebration. So keep watch.
