Chase dreams

Chase is one of my younger brothers. I love him, he grounds me in ways I desperately need. He lifts me, literally... I am tiny compared to him and he can physically lift me, which is a great picture for the fact that he does in fact life my spirits. This is because he is warm, caring, and brave.

Though he is shy, that does not hinder him when he dreams. My brother follows his dreams. Across the country. To play a sport. With no friends or family near.

This is my brother. Chase dreams. He goes, he lives it.

I am thankful for his heart to dream, and the space given to him to make those dreams reality. It inspires me. It moves me.

Chase knows and goes and leaves nothing behind.

This is my brother. I am proud of him.

Though he lies in a hospital bed today, waiting to hear the aftermath of the physical stress placed on his body by yesterday's football injury, I know he is dreaming. And will be soon again chasing them!

I hope with all my heart, his body recovers from the bruises to his spine. That he will get up and walk and run and Chase more of his dreams.
